The Highpower Management System is our SQL-based access control management software designed for high performance and scalability. It is authored and maintained by our Connecticut-based engineering department and is designed for deployment by IT departments and customers that require minimum wiring requirements.

Key Features:

Designed to work with the Highpower 8000 Power-Over-Ethernet Access Controller STA Series Version 8 readers and the new Model 901 Fingerprint Reader.
Client-Server based technology allows multiple computers managing the same access control system.
Can handle virtually unlimited number of door controllers or readers.
Virtually unlimited number of card holders with up to 10,000 card holders per door with some card formats.
Real-Time card activity logging.
HMSE Server runs as a Windows Service to log transactions even when the client software is not running.
Email Alerts - HMSE can send emails notifying that a particular card or card holder has accessed the system.
Hyper-Syncing - HMSE can synchronize with multiple controllers simultaneously (up to 32,000 units at one time!) dramatically cutting down the time to update systems with many 8000 panels.
Microsoft Excel spreadsheet data import.
Redesigned Crystal Reports for data export to many formats.
Re-optimized SQL code speeds up transactions with the Microsoft SQL database.
Uses TCP/IP based Microsoft .NET Remoting for fast client transactions with the HMS Server.
Tested to run on 32 & 64 bit Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.

Software Support Files:

PLEASE BACKUP YOUR EXISTING DATABASE SYSTEM BEFORE
UPGRADING YOUR INSTALLATION.

You must uninstall your current version before doing a full upgrade. If you are doing a full upgrade, you need to manually delete your old installation folders before re-installation. Upgrading in place is not supported from Version 2.9 to Version 3.1. You must upgrade your database to version 3.0 using Server Manager before HMS Server V3.1 will start.

Customers with versions under 3.1 are advised to upgrade.

- New webcam picture support in cardholders screen with Version 2.7.
- New support for STA stand-alone card readers in Version 2.8.
- Added network controls and card expiration dates in Version 2.9.
- New support for 901 Fingerprint reader, complete overhaul for Version 3.0.
- Version 3.1 is a service release with no added features.

Upgrade-In-Place

If you have a running installation of HMS Enterprise V2.9 or higher and wish to upgrade to the latest release, you may use the Upgrade-In-Place procedure.
Download upgrade-in-place package.

8000 Controller Firmware:
Current firmware number is: V01.14 (January 15, 2008). (No need to upgrade from V01.13)

Flash your 8000 controller with the latest firmware.

PLEASE NOTE: Some customers have custom high security firmware.
Please contact us before flashing your 8000 controller if your system does not use 26-bit cards.

STA Firmware:
Current firmware number is V8.0 (Jan 11, 2008) for STA readers compatible with HMS.

901 Fingerprint Firmware:
Current firmware number is V1.55 (Jan 11, 2010) for 901 readers compatible with HMS.
