The New
Highpower 8000 Door Control Platform includes
the new 8000 Series Door Controller and the
Highpower Management System
Enterprise Software (HMS). The 8000 is our newest, premium
access control system.
Designed
with IT departments in mind, the new hardware and
software has features and design philosophies that
make installation simpler than traditional access
control systems, yet can be scaled over large
facilities. The system leverages the power of
Microsoft SQL 2005 database to scale to
larger numbers of doors and cardholders than
traditional access control systems. Up to
10,000 users per door can be present in the
system and the system can be scaled up to virtually
unlimited numbers of doors.
The new
8000 Series door controller provides unmatched
ease-of-installation by incorporating new 802.3af
compliant Power-Over-Ethernet (POE) technology
and on-board TCP/IP Ethernet communication.
The advanced low power design of the 8000 board and
POE circuitry provides enough auxiliary power (900mA
@ 12V) to supply not only the controller itself, but
two proximity card readers AND two electric
strikes. This eliminates the need for external
power supplies, high voltage circuit installation
and complicated wiring. If POE is
unavailable on your network, you can optionally
power the controller using a plug-in wall
transformer. See the
8000 Hookup Diagram
for a typical installation using electric strikes.
The 8000
controller can also handle virtually every popular
proximity, barcode and mag-stripe card format as card
formats are fully programmable and card IDs are alphanumeric.
Each 8000 controller
kit can operate two doors. The kits come
packaged with two
P-300 proximity card readers, an enclosure and
manual. You can optionally order kits with
barcode readers, mag-stripe readers or combination
readers. Since each kit communicates on your
computer network, the kits become linked together
and managed with the Highpower Management System
Enterprise software
(HMS).
